Benevolent Monster series 2008

This series began in 2008. I live in an urban area and I am always looking at the sky. I started taking photographs of the cityscapes of Oakland and San Francisco. After looking at these photos I started dreaming of about a monster that roamed the streets particularly at dusk. These are images that I painted of him. I also added the new monotypes I just finished at Pilchuck during a 4 day residency.
